Taking a nap

You may have noticed that Biba Bijoux is quite absent in online; well that's because it decided to go to sleep to dream with eyes wide shut until relapse.

Biba Bijoux was quite a journey where, more than anything, I discovered my pretty self, I met spicy people and made yummy friends, I laughed and learned....and dreamed and poured fairy dust, but now it really feels like lunch break - you know with lots of cookies and butterfly effect decisions to make ;)

I wish you all, spicy people, sunny days and thoughts!

NOIR, the new diffusion line of Corina Vladescu brand will have it's first fashion show with the AW2011/2012 collection at Athens Fashion Week 2011 on 1st of April at 21h00.

"NOIR este un proiect la care tin enorm, este o alternativa fashion cu preturi acceptabile la magazinele arhicunoscute de highstreet, cu un design original apartinandu-mi in totalitate. Fiecare colectie va fi gandita exact ca o colectie de catwalk Corina Vladescu, originala in design, linie si cromatica. Sunt foarte mandra ca am reusit sa pastram calitatea materialelor si a accesoriilor intacta. Stofele naturale, nasturii din corn, pielea, matasea si bumbacul sunt coordonatele noii colectii. Versatiliatea acestor piese este un aspect care a fost foarte important pentru mine deoarece mi-am dorit piese care se pot combina la nesfarsit, obtinand o multitudine de lookuri diferite care nu se demodeaza. Sunt piese indispensabile crearii unei garderobe de sezon originala si rafinata la preturi prietenoase."

NOIR was shown for the first time in Paris at the Who's Next salon de pret-a-porter and will be available from this autumn in Bucharest, New York, Barcelona, London, Dublin, Canary Island.



The accessories chosen for this collection will mostly be Breaking the Pattern necklaces, which fit perfectly the fluid-dreamy NOIR clothes.
The illustration you see above is designed by Nico (Burp), especially for this event, she is so talented - many-many thanks for your help!

The best part of this collaboration is that I got to meet Corina, whom work and personality I admire and love for some years now; and guess what? she's even lovelier in real life and her clothes are just to-fill-your-dressing-with :)

Bracelets born from the sun

It's funny how we all shine in the sun. A few days ago most of us were mere gray sad persons, and now all of a sudden we all smile and hope and dream for holidays walks in the park. Maybe we somehow work like plants and we feed our brains and hearts with sun light and bird tweets.

I've made this bracelets Saturday night, out of golden chain, faux pearls and lace ribbon.

Sunny days melt the hearts of dreamy girls. We are golden :)

TINERI DESIGNERI PENTRU COPII

Tinerii designeri pun umar la umar si obiect langa obiect pentru a-i ajuta pe Copiii de la Marcus.

In fiecare luna vom da startul unei licitatii de produse donate de designeri si artizani. Toti banii stansi din aceasta licitatie vor fi folositi pentru a cumpara alimente si carti pentru copii.

Depinde de voi cat de mult va doriti obiectul respectiv si cat de mult doriti sa ajutati Copiii de la Marcus. Cu ajutorul vostru, acesti copilasi vor primi o parte din cele necesare in fiecare luna.

Fiecare leu conteaza.

DESFASURAREA LICITATIEI

• Licitatia se va desfasura pe pagina creata special pentru ca voi sa aflati mai multe despre Copiii de la Marcus.

• Pe 1 martie se anunta obictele scoase la licitatie. Pretul de pornire este stabilit de creatorul obiectului.

• Intre 1 si 7 martie se liciteaza produsul/ produsele dorite, lasand comentarii la fotografiile acestora.

• Pe 8 martie se anunta lista celor care au castigat licitatia, precum si a obiectelor achizitionate de ei. In aceeasi zi, va rugam sa trimiteti datele voastre la adresa luciana@spotondesign.ro.

• Pe 10 martie, coletele vor fi trimise prin curier rapid. Pretul produselor + taxa aferenta expedierii vor fi platite de cumparator la primirea coletului.

Va multumim pentru sprijinul acordat. Dati vestea mai departe, orice mic ajutor este de folos.

Fandacsia de Martisor

Pentru ca e destul alb in jur, ne-am gandit sa facem o colectie Fandacsia din fetru rosu care sa va fereasca de intemperii sufletesti primavara asta.
Cum Fandacsia jubileaza pe cap de om citit, ne-am cocotat in mansarda la Carturesti unde le asteptam pe cele care au epuizat cele 2 etaje de carti. Acelea care se mandresc cu capul lor, cele mai cu mot, care au chef sa si poarte un semn distinctiv in acel loc.
Sambata, duminica, luni si marti, impreuna cu cativa designeri care expun la Idelier, organizatorul targului, stam boem si va asteptam cu tratatii boieresti in podul librariei.
O lume mai buna e una cu mai multe mansarde! Si mai mult desfrau...
